The Force Behind the Vision
Thami Mubenga is qualified HR professional with over ten (10) years’ work experience , She has worked for big corporate organizations as mentioned above, where she was involved in dealing with the full employee cycle within the organization i.e. recruitment , performance management, training management, employee wellness , succession planning, talent management, transformation etc. At Total SA she worked at head office level offering HR services to head of departments (General Managers of divisions).Working for Aveng exposed her to Construction and Manufacturing environment which enabled her to work with blue collar workers and deal with conflict management and employee engagements at employee level. She has been involved with a number of construction projects as an HR professional on site. Working for Hill international exposed her to working at an international level, interacting with senior managers at different levels in different countries such as UK London offices, US offices and UAE offices.

2016
Founded Mubenga Security Services
Started with just 5 employees, providing basic security services to local businesses in Johannesburg.
2017
Expanded to bigger operations
Secured first major contracts with Lakefield Office Park and Boksburg Residential Complex, establishing a strong client base in Gauteng
2018
More expansion in portfolio
Successfully completed a 4-year contracts for security provision project for Dunnottar projects, and Gibela Rail Manufacturing Substation (PRASA), Trencon Construction and DBSA.
2019
Industry Recognition
Received the Expanded service portfolio to include armed response and off-site 24/7 monitoring; awarded Rand Merchant Bank Sandton construction project.
2020
National recognition
Strengthened security partnership with Ekurhuleni Municipality for Water & Sewer Internal Reticulation projects, strengthened security service partnerships with the Department of Social Development and maintained 100% compliance with with security regulations.
2023
Mubenga adopted Vision2030 of the NDP of South Africa
Introduced learnership and youth empowerment programmes for PSIRA-accredited candidates, enhancing community skills development.
2024 – Present
Vertical and Horizontal expansion
Mubenga has since strengthened operational systems, improved workforce capacity, and expanded into high-security sectors such as finance and healthcare facilities.
